Airport Parking Australia 2026: Rates at Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide
TL;DR: Airport Parking Costs in Australia (Checked 30 October 2026)
- Melbourne: drive-up rates on the airport’s own page run from $17 for a day in the Value car parks to $62 a day at the Terminal car parks and $94 a day at Premium (Melbourne Airport).
- Adelaide: the Terminal car park is $42 for 10 to 24 hours and the Long Term car park is $33 for one day, $109 for seven days (Adelaide Airport).
- Brisbane: the airport advertises budget AIRPARK Undercover parking from $10 a day with a free bus (Brisbane Airport). Other Brisbane prices are not published on the pages we could read.
- Perth: a Skyscanner guide dated 21 May 2026 (prices as at April 2026) lists Long Term parking at $36 a day or $164 a week at drive-up rates.
- Sydney: the airport says pre-booking can save up to 70%, but its drive-up table did not load in our check, so we do not quote Sydney prices here.
- Biggest saving: pre-book online, park further from the terminal, or skip parking and use a train or rideshare.
This guide collects the official airport rates we could verify, shows how the main options compare, and explains how to cut the bill. Rates change and drive-up and pre-booked prices differ, so treat the tables as a snapshot and confirm on the airport booking page before you travel.

Melbourne Airport Parking Rates
Melbourne Airport is the one with the widest spread. According to its drive-up rates page, a day in the Value car parks costs $17 and a week costs $119, while the Terminal car parks cost $62 a day and $434 a week. Premium is $94 a day and $658 a week, and Melbourne Airport Valet is $104 a day and $728 a week.
The Value North and South car parks use a flat daily rate that the airport describes as the lowest of any onsite option, per its value car park page. The same page says online bookings lock in the best available rate at the time of booking, which is often lower than drive-up rates, with no booking or card fees at checkout.
| Melbourne car park | 1 to 2 hours | 1 day | 7 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| Value North or South | $17 | $17 | $119 |
| Terminal T123 or T4 | $34 | $62 | $434 |
| Premium T123 or T4 | $57 | $94 | $658 |
| Melbourne Airport Valet | $69 | $104 | $728 |
| Qantas Valet | $64 | $108 | $554 |
| Wait Zone | $4 | $62 | $434 |
Melbourne also has free options for pick-ups. The airport says the Free Wait Zone on Mercer Drive gives the first 60 minutes free, and drive-up customers can park free for 15 minutes in the T123 or T4 Terminal car parks. A site banner dated 5 October 2026 announces new free pick-up and drop-off zones in the T123 Transport Hub.
If you are heading into the city instead, see our myki guide and the free tram zone map.
Adelaide Airport Parking Rates
Adelaide publishes the clearest table of the five. All prices below are GST inclusive on the Adelaide Airport prices page.
| Adelaide Terminal car park | Price |
|---|---|
| 0 to 15 minutes | $5 |
| 30 minutes to 1 hour | $11 |
| 2 to 3 hours | $24 |
| 5 to 6 hours | $30 |
| 10 to 24 hours | $42 |
| 2 days | $84 |
| 3 days | $126 |
| Adelaide Long Term car park | Price |
|---|---|
| 1 day | $33 |
| 2 days | $55 |
| 3 days | $68 |
| 4 days | $79 |
| 5 days | $89 |
| 6 days | $99 |
| 7 days | $109 |
| Each additional day or part | $10 |
The same page says the Terminal car park has been cashless since 3 August 2020, with payment by card or digital wallet, and that pre-booking online can save up to 30% off drive-up rates, with bookings made at least one hour in advance. A seven-day stay in Long Term parking ($109) costs less than three days in the Terminal car park ($126).
Brisbane Airport Parking
Brisbane groups its parking into products. The Brisbane Airport parking page lists ParkLong (most popular, a 4 to 8 minute walk), ParkPremium (guaranteed undercover, 2 to 5 minutes), Park&Fly (express drop-off and go), ParkValet, AIRPARK (budget, open air, free bus) and ParkShort for pick-ups and drop-offs. The only price on the page we could read is AIRPARK Undercover from $10 a day, with a free bus transfer.
For ParkLong, Nundah News reported in February 2025 a price of $205 a week, and $69 for a stay of 4 to 24 hours. Treat that as dated, since it is more than a year old. Brisbane says booking in advance secures the best price and bookings open at least one hour before arrival.
If you would rather not park, our Brisbane go card guide explains the train and bus options.
Perth Airport Parking
The Perth Airport parking page says booking online can save up to 65%, that online charges are calculated in 24-hour blocks from the time your booking starts, and that partial days are charged as a full day. It does not show drive-up prices in the text we could read.
For drive-up prices, a Skyscanner guide published 21 May 2026 and based on April 2026 prices lists these rates:
| Perth car park | Per day | Per week |
|---|---|---|
| Short Term | $66 | Not listed |
| Short Term Saver (T3 and T4) | $52.20 | About $332 |
| Premium (T3 and T4) | About $78 | $424 |
| Long Term (shuttle) | $36 | $164 |
| Long Term Undercover (shuttle) | $62.40 | $315 |
The same guide lists off-airport operators with free shuttles, for example Bay Airport Parking outdoor from $35 a day or $92 a week. Prices are the operators’ own and can change, so check before you book. To avoid parking altogether, read our Perth SmartRider guide.
Sydney Airport Parking
Sydney Airport runs a separate pre-booking site. It says you can save up to 70% by pre-booking and that overstays beyond a booking are charged at the standard drive-up rates shown at the car park entrance. Its drive-up price table did not load in our check, so we have not quoted numbers. Open the page for live rates, and see our Sydney Airport parking promo codes guide for current offers and our Opal card guide for train options.

How to Pay Less for Airport Parking

- Pre-book online. Airports claim savings of up to 30% (Adelaide), up to 65% (Perth) and up to 70% (Sydney) against drive-up rates. Melbourne says online bookings lock in the best available rate at the time of booking.
- Pick the right car park. In Melbourne, the Value car parks cost $17 a day against $62 for the Terminal car park. In Adelaide, a week in Long Term ($109) beats three days in the Terminal car park ($126).
- Watch 24-hour billing. Melbourne and Perth charge in 24-hour blocks from entry or booking start, so returning an hour late can add a full day.
- Compare off-airport lots. Perth off-airport operators listed by Skyscanner start from $35 a day, but check shuttle times, insurance and reviews.
- Skip parking for short trips. A rideshare or train can be cheaper than parking for a day or two. See our airport to city transport costs guide, our DiDi vs Uber airport pickup guide and our best rideshare apps guide. You can also pre-book a DiDi ride for an early flight.
- Compare the whole trip cost. Use our cost of living price guide and money saving tips to see where parking fits, and compare fares with our Google Flights guide and Webjet coupon codes.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up: Avoiding the Fee
If you are only dropping someone off, a free wait zone is usually the cheapest route. Melbourne’s Free Wait Zone on Mercer Drive gives the first 60 minutes free, and its drive-up customers get 15 free minutes in the T123 or T4 Terminal car parks. Adelaide’s Terminal car park charges $5 for the first 15 minutes, and Perth’s Short Term car park gives the first 10 minutes free according to the Skyscanner guide. Rules and times change, so read the signs at each entry.
If You Are Travelling Abroad
For a long trip, the cost of a week or more of parking can rival a flight deposit. Compare it with a lift from a friend or a train. If you are new to Australia and need a mobile plan for the airport, see our airport SIM cards guide, and consider travel insurance deals before you go. If you own a car, our car ownership costs guide covers the other running costs.
